Belle II実験の電磁カロリメーターでCsI(Tl)シンチレーターの発光を読み出すPINフォトダイオードの電流値をモニターすることは、ビームバックグラウンドによる放射線被曝量を算出するデータとして重要である。逆バイアス電源とPINフォトダイオードの間に適切な抵抗を挿入してその電圧降下を測定するための低雑音・高入力インピーダンスの計測アンプを試作し、要求性能を満たすこと、計測アンプが出力する電圧信号をデータロガーでデジタル化するサイクルが動作中に電磁カロリメーターのCsI(Tl)カウンター信号に雑音の増加はないことを確認した。

SuperKEKB 加速器のビーム衝突点付近にシンチレーション検出器を2個設置して、2016 年2 月から6 月にかけて行われたPhase-1 試験運転で、電子ビームのみ電流値480 mAで蓄積して鉛直方向のビームサイズ50ミクロンに絞った状況ではタウ シェック散乱由来のバックグラウンドの割合が76.6±1.7 %であることを示した。

B0 → J/ψK∗0(→ K+π−)モードのシミュレーション事象サンプルを用いて、フレーバータグ誤認率を調べ、effective tagging efficiencyを0.3220±0.0020と得た。分解能をtriple Gaussianで表現するモデルを用いてΔt分布をフィットして得たBメソン寿命は1.532 ± 0.004 psで、入力値と無矛盾であることから問題になるバイアスはないことを確かめた。

Belle II実験の電磁カロリメーターでCsI(Tl)シンチレーターの発光を読み出すPIN-PD電流モニターのデータを解析し、2021年3月〜6月の運転期間中の放射線被曝はバレル部の前方で0.20 Gy～0.25 Gy、後方で0.33 Gy～0.39 Gy、後方エンドキャップ部の外側で0.40 Gy～0.55 Gy、内側で0.73 Gy～1.02 Gy と算出した。
