Belle has studied 48 LVF tau decay modes and set 90% C.L. upper limits on the branching fractions, which are several orders of magnitude larger than the prediction. And then the experiment is in an upgrade to increase statistics of the data sample by a factor of 50. In this presentation, we review the current tau LFV studies and discuss future prospects in the Belle II experiment.
