茨城県つくば市の大学共同利用法人 エネルギー加 器研究機構 KEK で稼働している、高輝度度電子・陽電子加速器(SuperKEKB) と粒子検出器(Belle II 測定器)で収集されたデータを用いて、重心系エネルギー10.6 GeV の高エネルギー電子・陽電子衝突において、終状態に一つの散乱電子と一つのπ0 のみが観測される反応、e+e- → e+e- π0について研究した。。2019年と2020年春に収集したBelle II 実験の初期のデータについて解析した結果、本反応過程が抽出されたことを示す明瞭なπ0 信号を観測することができた。また、そこから導出した微分断面積がQ2 ≈ 10 GeV2 の領域で、先行研究の結果を良く再現することを確認した。また、解析過程で今後改良が必要ないくつかの課題を明確にした。
