Abstract: The Belle II experiment aims to search for new physics in the flavor sector, mainly in the B-meson, D-meson and tau lepton decays. We will collect 50 ab^{-1} electron-positron collision data in seven years at center-of-mass energies in the regions of the Upsilon resonances at the SuperKEKB accelerator. The time is coming to start the physics data taking in this year. Now the commissioning of the Belle II detector and the accelerator is ongoing. In this talk the status of the commissioning will be reported, and prospects of flavor physics performed at Belle II will be discussed.
