Abstract: The SuperKEKB accelerator complex will soon enter its second commissioning phase from February to middle of July 2018. The Belle II detector commissioning is in full swing to be ready to collect first collision data possibly delivered during phase II. The present status of the accelerator and detector commissioning will be presented together with some highlights of Belle II's rich physics program with an emphasis on the measurement accessible in phase II.
