Belle II: New Physics and the Next Generation

T. Browder (University of Hawaii)

14 April 2017
SLAC Seminar

Abstract: Recent progress on Belle II/SuperKEKB, the prime example of a next generation flavor physics facility, as well as its broad range of New Physics (NP) capabilities will be discussed. Belle II rolled-in to the collision point on April 11th. The recent excitement in flavor physics and the possibility of a novel path to establishing new physics (NP) provide a strong motivation for Belle II. Future physics topics include decays that are sensitive to charged Higgs bosons and angular anomalies in B->K* l+ l-.
