Abstract | The Belle experiment at the KEKB factory in Tsukuba served as a B factory with the primary goal of discovering CP violation (CPV) in B meson decays and confirming the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) paradigm. It operated until 2018, achieving significant milestones in flavor physics. Building on this legacy, the Belle II experiment is an upgraded version that operates at the SuperKEKB energy-asymmetric $e^+e^-$ collider. Belle II is designed to collect 50 times more data than its predecessor. This extensive dataset will enable Belle II to measure CKM matrix elements and their phases with unprecedented precision, further enhancing our understanding of flavor physics through studies of B and charmed mesons, as well as $\tau$ leptons. Additionally, Belle II is uniquely positioned to search for low-mass dark matter and mediators. In this proceeding, we present selective results based on the collected data. |
