Abstract | The Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB $e^+e^-$ collider will start its operation in 2018, with the goal of collecting 50 $ab^{-1}$ of data. This will allow for high precision measurements in the quark flavor sector, opening a window into physics at the energies beyond achievable at the high energy frontier experiments. In the talk we present the recent status of the SuperKEKB and Belle II detector construction, along with some physics prospects. |
