Abstract: The decay mode D∗0 → D0(K−π+)π0(γγ) has been studied using 100 f b−1 of Monte Carlo simulated data generated using Belle-II software framework. Belle II experiment is the successor of the Belle experiment at the KEKB accelerator facility in Tsukuba, Japan. It has been designed to make precise measurements of weak interaction parameters and find new physics beyond the standard model. We measure the mass difference (∆M) between the D∗0and D0 mesons using simulated data. We also calculate the signal yield and reconstruction efficiencies which are crucial inputs for the measurement of the absolute branching ratio of this decay mode using actual data taken by the Belle-II detector.
