Abstract: In this talk, an overview of the latest $R(D^{(*)}$ measurements performed at the Belle and LHCb experiments is presented. The main approach and methodology of each measurement is discussed, along with the current limitations and potential improvements. Furthermore, the prospects for $R(D^{(*))}$ measurements at Belle II and the tools developed to improve their overall precision are also presented.
