Abstract: We study the charged lepton flavor violating decay tau -> e alpha, where alpha is a non-standard invisible boson that leaves the Belle II detector undetected. This Note presents plots showing the optimization procedure, relevant observables, and upper limit estimates using Belle II simulated data, assuming no tau -> e alpha signal in 25/fb of integrated luminosity. Further work is in progress in order to include systematic uncertainties.
