Abstract: Exotic states have attracted the attention of theory and experiments, especially in the past decade. Most of the intriguing states non-fitting the potential models have been seen using the highest statistics available at Belle, and definitively they need confirmation. The available statistics at the old Belle experiment does not allow further investigation, therefore an experiment like Belle II, with its excellent vertex detector and expected good low-momentum photon detection is in an optimal position to continue these studies. Here a review on the possibility in charmonium and bottomonium spectroscopy at Belle II is given, showing some highlight results with Phase 3 data.
