Abstract: My master thesis is a data-analysis project targeted at studying and improving the charged-particle tracking performances of the Belle II experiment at SuperKEKB. I reconstructed dimuon events using the Belle II tracking detectors and I studied the five parameters characterizing the tracks. I simulated VXD misalignments and studied their effects on reconstruction. Based on the results, I developed procedures to identify misalignments thus contributing to a general improvement of the Belle II tracking reconstruction performance.
