000001052 520__ $$aA comparison of two particle reconstruction methods, inclusive reconstruction and full event interpretation, for the decay mode B+ -> e+ nu_e is presented. The analysis is tested on simulated data of the Belle II detector at the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy B factory. Inclusive reconstruction provides a signal detection efficiency of eInc = 10.46% and would require a branching fraction of B_Inc(B+ -> e+ nu_e) > 1:8 x 10^-6 to achieve a significance level of 3sigma to be measured on the full Belle II data set. Full event interpretation provides a signal detection efficiency of e_FEI = 0.132% and would require B_FEI(B+ -> e+ nu_e) > 5.8 x 10^-5 to achieve the same significance.
