| Abstract | Using a sub-sample of the Belle II data sample of luminosity (189.8804 ±0.0131) fb−1, the branching fraction B B →D(∗)ℓ−νℓ , where ℓ is either e or µ, is explored. This analysis first contributed to the published Belle II results of the hadronic tagged B0 → D∗+[D0π+]ℓ−ν branching fraction where D0 →K−π+ [1]. This study is expanded to use both B− and B0 decays in addition to multiple exclusive D∗ and D decay modes. This contributes to one of the first tests of lepton flavour universality at Belle II using exclusive measurements of the denominator of R(D(∗)) = B B →D(∗)τ−ντ /B B →D(∗)ℓ−νℓ where ℓ is either e or µ. |
