Abstract The successful first beam circulation of the SuperKEKB accelerator at KEK in 2016 opens a new era of collider physics. The associated Belle II experiment will start commissioning in 2 years. Complementary to the LHC experiments, Belle II is designed to explore the intensity frontier. The target total integrated luminosity is 50ab^-1, which is 50 times larger than the Belle experiment. This offers high data statistics for precision measurements and probing new physics in rare decay studies. In this talk, I will present the current status of Belle II and highlight its prospect on flavor physics.
