Abstract Cross section of light hadron production in e+e- collisions is a critical input for calculation of the hadronic effects in the muon anomalous magnetic moment (g-2). Although it has been precisely measured at various e+e- colliders, significant discrepancy among different experiments still exists. The Belle II, the next B-factory experiment, is able to provide new precision measurements of this cross section by the so called initial-state radiation method. We have performed the first data taking with e+e- collisions April through July 2018 and collected 0.5 fb-1 of data. In this presentation, we show an initial look at the collision data for the ee->pi+pi-gamma and ee->pi+pi-pi0gamma processes, as well as simulation studies for future prospects in the Belle II experiment.
