Abstract The Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB collider has unique sensitivity to a broad class of models that postulate the existence of dark matter particles with MeV—GeV masses. This talk presents recent world-leading physics results from Belle II searches for Z’ decays; as well as the near-term prospects for other dark-sector searches. In addition, we presented a related search for lepton-flavor-violating τ decays to a lepton and an invisible boson.
